在do nothing but do sth.句型中，but后面要接動詞原形。意思為“除了做……外，什么也不做”或“別無選擇，只能……”
例句：
I could do nothing but sit here.
我只能坐在這里等了。
She does nothing but complain about her fate.
她只是抱怨自己的命運不好，什么事也沒做。
2.其他類似句型
另外，還有一個類似的句型：have nothing to do but do sth.“除了做……之外，無事可做”；have no choice but to do sth.“除了做……外別無選擇”。
例句：
