       1. What payment terms did Mr. Wood propose for his sample order?
       2. What does D/A stand for?

      IV.Translate the following into English orally.
       F: 我想請教一下你們通常的付款條件是什么。
         C: 不敢當。我們通常的付款條件是采用保兌的不可撤銷的的信用證付款。憑即期匯票在提交裝船意氣時付款。
         F:我明白了。那我什么時候要開出信用證呢?
         C:一般地說,信用證應該在裝船月份前30天到達我方。如果訂單要求立即裝運,則應以電報方式開出。
         F:這可以理解。就我們眼下這筆訂單,你們能否同意采用承兌交單付款方式呢?你瞧,這是樣品性質的訂單。
         C:很抱歉,我們不能同意承兌交單付款方式。承兌交單只有在買賣雙方非常了解,并且幾乎不會發生不付款的情況下才使用。如果貨物發出,到達目的地遭到拒絕,我們將處于十分被動的地位。
         F:那怎么可能呢?你們應該相信我嘛,對不對?
         C:對不起,我們雙方實在愛莫能助。在這種情況下作用證是我們的通常做法。
         F:那么我們用付款交單怎么樣?我想我們雙方都堅持自己的觀點是不明智的。
         C:好吧。我知道你們向銀行要求開立信用證得花費很多錢,而且為了這一小批貨也有點不值得。這次我們破例照顧你們,同意付款交單。但是今后的買賣我們仍然要用信用證,怎么樣?
         F:好極了。謝謝你
