MULTI-WORD VERBS: WITH’ON/OFF’   on和off短語動詞

on不僅有表示空間的意思，還有比喻之意：

He is standing on his head/hands.  他正在倒立。

I have no money on me.我身上沒有錢。

I can play that tune on the piano/guitar.我呆以在鋼琴/吉他上彈那個曲調。

There’s a good play on the TV/radio.電視、收音機上有一個好節目。

What’s on at the cinema?電影院上映什么、

on經常有“在活動狀態下”的意思（用于此意時接近上面的最后兩個例句的用法）：

Switch the light on.把燈打開。

The match is off/has been called off.這個比賽取消了。
