      Subject:  Visit of VIPs from Tokyo
      Please let me know your availablity for meeting our Tokyo group at the airport on August 5. They will be arriving at
      11:00 AM. An interpreter will accompany them.
       
      Please mark your calendars for that evening. From 6:00 to 7:30 PM we will be hosting an after-work reception for thegroup. I hope all of you will attend.
       
      On Ausust 6 there will be a meeting in the boardroom at 10:00 AM. All of you should attend.

      VIP是very important person(大眾物)的縮略語,常在受到特別待遇或者接待重要人物時使用。

      S:I ‘ve got a problem. My team has to finish the new marketing g\project by the end of the month. And we’re way behind schedule.我有一個問題。我們組必須在月底完成新的市場項目?晌覀円呀涍h遠落后于日程安排了。
      J: How about asking everyone to work some overtime?安排大家加班怎么樣?
      S: That’s a good idea. Maybe I should set up a new schedule.是個好主意, 也許我應該制訂一個新的日程。
      J: And maybe you could ask the boss for some extra jelp.你也可以向老板申請一些臨時助手。
        可以用extra staff(臨時人員)來代替extra help.
      S:That may be difficult right now. Do you have any other suggestions?這個現在可能有點難。你有佬其他建議嗎?

      J:Yes. I think you should tell everyone on the team about problem.

      have a word 可以在簡短對話或只有兩個人的對話里使用。

      D: It’s about Roy. Don’t you think he looks kind of find lately?
      是關于羅伊。你不覺得最近他看起來有點累嗎?
      對話里,不說人或物“確實的”,而是表示“一般說來”時,常用kind of 這種表達。這在美國英語里很常用。
       
      Yes
      C:Well, yes, he has been looking kind of tired Maybe there’s something wrong. How his work?是的。他一起看上去有點累。也許是出了什么問題。他工作怎么樣?
      D: His work is good. In fact, he’s doing a great job. But he looks tired and kind of worried all the time. Do you think he might e stresed out? Wb aawttvvb,gkpuh ,他工作很好,事實上,他有優秀。但是他總是看起來很疲倦而且有些焦慮。你認為他是不是壓力太大?
        在增加什么信息時,常用fact ,也常用as a matter of fact.
       表示受壓力影響時,可以用stressed或stressedout, 美國英語里常用stressed out.

      C:He could be. Maybe you should ask him if he wants to task about it.可能是,如果他想談護短也許你應該問問他。
      D: That’s a good idea. I’l do that. 是個好主意,我會找他談。
