One day his in his cage to the market in order to sell it.”Who will buy my parrot?” Cried he,” Twenty pounds for my parrot!” A man, who heard this high price called out, looked at the bird, and asked him:”Poll, are you worth twenty pounds?” There is no doubt about it.”Was Poll’s answer. The man was so delighted with this, that he bought the bird and carried it home.
Some time after he repented of his bargain, standing by the side of the cage, he said, “What a foot I was, to throw so much money away!” There is no doubt about it.” Cried the bird. And this time the bird was right.
