首先一種不正式的英語(yǔ)說(shuō)法是for a start，for a start的意思是首先，相當(dāng)于first 或 firstly。

例句：
    Well ，for a start , it isn't Michael's house . It belongs to his parents .
    恩，首先，這不是邁克爾的房子，這房子屬于他父母。
    You can clear up this mess ,for a start . Then you can help me with the cooking
    你可以先收拾這堆亂七八糟的東西，飯后再幫我做飯。
 

情景模擬：
    parcel for Mrs Johnson . Sign here , please .
    Well, for a start . I'm not Mrs Johnson …
    And , for another thing ,this isn't 33 park Road .
    This is 33 park Street . I'm afraid you're in the wrong part of town .
 

首先除了for a start，也可以用first of all或first and foremost，那么下面就講講first of all與first and foremost的區(qū)別。

first of all 指首先，強(qiáng)調(diào)排在一切事情的前面。

例句：
    First of all，I'd like to thank my parents for their love and support .
    首先，我要感謝我父母給予我的關(guān)愛(ài)和支持。
    Let us , first of all , stand and sing the national anthem .
    首先，讓我們起立唱國(guó)歌。
 

Tips:
    有時(shí)first of all 與 first and foremost 意思相同。

例句：
    This play is about family relationships first of all . It's not really about politics .
    這部戲首先是關(guān)于家庭關(guān)系，與政治不太相關(guān)。
 

first and foremost 表示首要的是，首先。
 

例句：
    Barbara is a journalist first and foremost . Painting is only her hobby.
    芭芭拉首先是個(gè)新聞工作者，繪畫(huà)只不過(guò)是她的業(yè)余愛(ài)好。
    This is first and foremost a business trip , not a holiday.
    這首先是出差，而不是度假。
 

情景模擬：
    There's no  sign of a break-in ,sir.
    The windows were all locked and none of them have been broken .
    The back door was bolted from the inside .
