believe it or not 用于告訴別人令人吃驚的事實時，跟對方說信不信由你。
例句：
Charles , believe it or not , actually wrote me a thank-you letter for his Christmas present .
你也許不相信，查爾斯其實給我寫了一封感謝信，感謝我送給他圣誕禮物。
Believe it or not , we all share the same birthday , January 1 .
不管你信不信，我們的生日都在1月1號。

before you know it 指時間過的比預想的快，不知不覺就過去了，也可寫成before he / she / they knew it , 表示事情發生得很快。
例句：
They won't keep you in hospital very long . You'll be back home again before you know it .
他們不會把你留在醫院很久的。你將很快就出院回家。
Almost before you know it , he was head of the department and earned $150,000 a year .
他很快就成了這個部門的主管，一年收入達到15萬美元。
