at this rate 指如果按照現(xiàn)在的情況繼續(xù)下去。
例句：
Progress has been very slow . At this rate , we won't be finished until the end of next year .
進(jìn)展一直非常緩慢。這樣下去的話，我們到明年年底才能完成。
At this rate , Mr and Mrs Smith will soon have to buy a bigger house .
這樣下去的話，史密斯夫婦不久就得買一座更大的房子了。
情景模擬：
Samantha is simply working too hard .
I know she stays up half the night and that isn't good for her .
At this rate , she'll make herself ill
下面是另一個詞組“at the back of you mind”。
at the back of you mind 指在心底里，下意識中。
例句：
There was still a small doubt at the back of my mind , but I did my best to ignore it .
