美國(guó)俚語(yǔ)——A blind date
A blind date可不是“一個(gè)盲目的日期”，這跟日期完全沒(méi)有關(guān)系！Date 在這里是“約會(huì)”的意思，“盲目的約會(huì)”就是通常說(shuō)的相親。因?yàn)槭孪葘?duì)對(duì)方的長(zhǎng)相、性格、愛(ài)好等因素都不是很熟悉，當(dāng)然就是blind 啦。比如：I'm really freaking out for I'm going on a blind date in half an hour, but I'm still not sure how to dress up.（我真的很緊張，因?yàn)榘雮�(gè)小時(shí)后就要驚人介紹去見(jiàn)一個(gè)對(duì)象，但我直到現(xiàn)在還不知道穿什么好。）
在日常生活中，日期是經(jīng)常discuss的話題，你可能經(jīng)常會(huì)說(shuō)：What day is today?（今天星期幾？）可是，你只會(huì)這一種表達(dá)方式嗎？occasionally也換一換吧，為什么不用 “What day is it?/What day of the week is it today?
如果你感覺(jué)用“What day is it today?”并不能凸顯你很cool的口語(yǔ)，那么試一下What 's the date today?/What's the date?/What date is it today?/What's the date?他們都可以表達(dá)同樣的意思，卻更有freshness。
你會(huì)不會(huì)忙的天昏地暗，連現(xiàn)在是幾個(gè)月都不知道了呢？這個(gè)可能性還是有的。這時(shí)候，你可以問(wèn)問(wèn)： “What month was last month?”或者“What month is next month?”或者“What month is this?”他們都能讓你對(duì)現(xiàn)在的月份有concept。
想要知道現(xiàn)在是幾點(diǎn)了，那么就有politely地說(shuō) “What time is it, please?”吧!當(dāng)然你也可以說(shuō)Could you tell me what time it is now?或者Have you got the time?
