appointment作為“約會(huì)”的意思常見于下列句子中：
I’ve got an appointment with Mrs. Cronin.
我和克朗訂太太有個(gè)約會(huì)。
He thought he had to make an appointment to see the manager that very day.
他認(rèn)為他當(dāng)天就必須約見經(jīng)理。
He wants to change his appointment in any case.

2. I wonder if he could spare some time to meet me.
我想了解他能否空出幾分鐘見見我。
wonder的后面可以接由if ,whether 引起的從句或由what, when等特殊疑問
詞引起的從句及不定式短語。口語中經(jīng)常使用。
I wonder if you can cooperate with us there.

They wonder what they are going to do with these goods.

4. Do you mean that you’re prepared to accept our terms?
be prepared 常常譯為“準(zhǔn)備，但是它強(qiáng)調(diào)”思想上有某種準(zhǔn)備，而不是行動(dòng)，后面可以接for 短語，或不定式。The seller is prepared to cut down the price by 2%.
賣方有意減價(jià)2%。
Nothing would stop us, and we are prepared to face any difficulty.
無論什么也不能阻擋我們，我們準(zhǔn)備面對(duì)任何困難。
Go ahead, please. I’m well prepared for my bad news.
說吧。任何壞消息我都有充分準(zhǔn)備。
