It’s lunch break. Mary who has just come to China from America, is talking with Li Na, her Chinese colleague about Spring Festival. Listen to the dialogue and then read after the recording.

Mary: Spring festival is the most important festival in China, isn’t it?
Li Na: Yes, that’s true.
Mary: How long is the holiday?
Li Na: It depends. But usually it’s about 15 days.
Mary: Do you neat any special food for the festival?
Li Na: Yes, dumpling is a must. There is also other food. For example, people eat chicken for good luck (jili吉利in Chinese).
Mary: That’s interesting. I’m told the Chinese firwork is very beautiful, isn’t it?
Li Na: Yes, it’s really wonderful!
Mary: Oh, great! I hope I can spend this Spring Festival with you here in Beijing.
Li Na: I’m sure you’ll have a good time.
