      --Then, who should be held responsible for the damage?
      We cannot accept your claim, as we are not liable for the damage.
      --But the survey report shows the damage is due to poor packing and you are terefore responsible for it.
        We have to reject your claim as the goods were damaged during transit.
      --Do you mean we must lodge our claim against the Insurance Company?
      IV. Tn view of friendly business re;ationship, we are prepared to meet your claim for the 45 tons short-weight.
        Thank you.
      In view of large number of complaints we have had about this particular line, we feel we must ask you to accept the return  of the remaining stock.
      In view of the present high customs duty on this type pf article, we have decided to import only on special request.
      --That will greatly reduce the trade between us, I’m afraid.
      In view of the difficulties we are in , we cannot agree to a contract on tgose terms,.

      Do I understand that the inspcetion fee is also for your sccount?
      --Yes, also the inspection fee.
      Do I understand that hsipment can be made immediately on receipt of L/C so as to step up our turnover?
      --Yes, that’s it.
      Do I understand that if I open the L/C before the end May, I’ll be able to get the goods in time?
      --Yes, op[en the L/C before the end of Mayt, and you’ll get the goods in time for the shopping season.
