英語俚語（slang）其實就是英國國家的各種方言詞，是非正式的語言。在外國學英語，最有趣的大概就是可以聽到很多俚語，但是很多時候光聽那些句子，我們不容易馬上會意出來他們在說什么，因此日常的積累很重要，否則我們的日常交流就會受影響。
比如sick這個詞在俚語中其實是很棒的意思，如果參加派對跳舞的時候有人對你說：You’ve got some sick moves!不要以為別人說你生病了，這是別人在夸你跳舞跳得很棒。
1.cheesy（太夸張）
——I love her so much that I’m going to die!
——haha, you sound so cheesy.
2.chicken(膽小鬼)
Stop being a chicken and try the rollercoaster ride.
3.full—on（全力以赴）
I’m going to study full—on for this next exam.
4.go bananas(發瘋，情緒失控)
Love is making you go bananas.
5.rubbish(廢話，胡說八道)
——The last Harry Potter movie was terrible!
——What? That’s rubbish!
6.get it(明白)
——Your shirt looks really bad. I’m serious, it looks so ugly.
——Okay, okay. I got it the first time.
7.turn—on(誘惑)
That guy can sing while playing the guitar. That is definitely a turn—on for me.
8.up for it(愿意做某事)
I really want to go bungee jumping. Want to go with me? Would you be up for it?
9.jerk(混蛋、變態)
You broke my heart, you jerk.
10.bomb(不成功的、非常差的戲劇、電影或事件)
This is just another one of Hollywood’s bland and boring bombs.
